About Beeston

Beeston town centre is broken down into 5 main areas; High Road Beeston, Wollaton Road, Broadgate, station Road, Chilwell Road and High Road Chilwell.  Each area has its own unique identity and offers a range of shops and businesses.

Places to shop

In Beeston we pride ourselves on having predominantly Independent Businesses. You know that when you are shopping in Beeston, you really are supporting the local economy. You can buy anything from groceries to furniture. Having said that, Beeston still has a number of High Street favourites such as WH Smith, Boots, Peacocks, Rymans and Holland and Barrett as well as a number of banks, building societies, estate agents and financial and legal firms should you need them. We also have 3 supermarkets; Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Lidl for convenience (2 of which offer up to 3 hours free parking)

Places to eat

Beeston offers something for everyone; Chinese, Thai, Indian, Italian, Greek, Vegan or good old fashioned Fish and Chips. We also have a number of takeaways for those days when you don’t fancy cooking!

Places to Drink

The town centre is home to a wide selection of pubs and bars offering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Whether it is a drink after work or a night socialising with your friends, Beeston offers something to suit everyone. Many of the pubs have regular live entertainment showcasing local talent and there is often a beer festival taking place throughout the year.

Places to visit

There are a number of markets that operate on the Square throughout the year. The regular Beeston Market runs every Monday and sells a mixture of locally produced products and handmade goods. Plus…every third Saturday of the month, Beeston hosts a farmers market. There are also a number of Arts and Craft Fairs that run throughout the year. We also have lots of events that take place in various locations throughout the town including; Chinese New Year Celebrations, Summer Play Day, Food and Drink Weekend, Oxjam Music Festival and Christmas lights switch on.

Places to relax

Broadgate Park is on the edge of the town centre and is a great place to take a picnic with your friends. There is also a large play area for the children to enjoy. If it is relaxing with a coffee you are after, as mentioned Beeston has a selection of cafes with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. If you really want to relax, why not visit one of our beauty specialists and treat yourself to a pampering session.
